This is Christmas shopping, but quieter. Better. Four nights by the Devon coast where festive browsing feels genuinely special, not stressful.
From the moment you arrive to a festive snack box in your room and Devon cream tea in the lounge, everything is taken care of. Every morning brings breakfast and 11am coffee with homemade biscuits. Every afternoon, festive tea and cake at 4pm. Every evening, dinner in our sea-facing restaurant with the sound of waves in the background.
And on your last night? Something a bit magical. A festive feast, live jazz from Kieron Garrett & Mike Sayers Duo filling the lounge and a small Christmas gift as our way of thanking you for choosing us.
Between all of this? Time. Time to walk the coast path, browse Sidmouth’s independent shops without the crowds, breathe in sea air that actually clears your head and remember what December is supposed to feel like.

Christmas at The Kingswood
23-27th December 2026
This is Christmas the way it’s meant to be. Unhurried. Magical. By the sea.
For four days, leave everything behind except the people you love. From the moment you arrive on the 23rd to a festive treat box in your room and Devon cream tea in the lounge, you’re wrapped in warmth, tradition and that rare feeling of having absolutely nowhere else to be.
Christmas Eve brings mulled wine and mince pies, a festive dinner, and the Sidmouth Town Band filling the lounge with carols. If you fancy it, midnight mass at the parish church is just a short walk away.
Christmas morning? Mimosas with brunch, then Prosecco in the lounge before we all gather for a six-course Christmas Day lunch that’s as delicious as it is joyful. The evening is yours – light supper, board games in the lounges and the kind of unhurried time that makes Christmas special.
Boxing Day is yours to shape: join the brave souls for the annual sea swim, watch the town’s rugby team at Blackmore Gardens, test your knowledge in our festive quiz or simply enjoy afternoon tea and the sound of the sea.

Twixmas Festive Escape

That magical space between Christmas and New Year. When the main event has passed but the festive feeling lingers, and you’ve got nowhere to be except right here, by the sea.
Arrive to a festive treat box in your room and sink into three nights of pure relaxation. A Devon cream tea on arrival sets the tone, daily breakfast, morning coffee, afternoon tea and dinner are all included. Everything is taken care of, so you can simply be.
The highlight? An early dinner followed by the panto at the Manor Pavilion – proper old-school festive fun. Plus a festive quiz to test your knowledge.

Start with breakfast and mimosas, test your trivia in our New Year’s quiz, then settle in for cocktails in the lounge from 7pm before an indulgent six-course dinner to see out 2026 in style.
New Year’s Day brings a leisurely brunch followed by the panto at Manor Pavilion and a relaxed fish and chip supper, because sometimes the best meals are the simplest ones.
